Storage Unit Auction List's New Site Features Make Profiting from Storage Auctions Even Easier

(PRWEB) August 17, 2011

Long before Storage Wars or Auction Hunters there were storage facilities holding storage auctions, selling bulk consumer goods at wildly discounted prices to the public.

In the recent past the United States economy took a turn for the worse, starting with the housing market. Foreclosure rates on homes skyrocketed after the collapse of Adjustable Rate Mortgages and families nationwide have dealt with downsizing and cutting costs. But if theres one thing for certain it is that in a country based on free trade and capitalism, currency is cyclical. The result is a lot of used merchandise left in storage that can either be added to a landfill or resold; reused and profited from.

Storage auctions have become a unique opportunity to re-energize and restore free exchange in the American marketplace, and a brand new medium through which budding entrepreneurs can thrive in the storage auction industry with serious profit potentials and minimal start up costs.

Along with the development of websites like Ebay and Craigslist, we saw ordinary individuals rapidly become tax exempt resale companies, selling household and commercial products in a national, even international, marketplace.

The success of those that found auctions in local papers and by avidly calling facilities themselves was impressive and led to the popularity of storage auctions in reality television. 'Storage Wars' recently became A&E's most popular television series of all time and has millions wondering why storage auctions are generating so much attention. The popularity led to the demand for access to regular, reliable storage auction listings, so that anyone could potentially gain from attending, whether trying to decorate their own homes, keep up company inventory or earn some extra, part-time income. StorageUnitAuctionList.com has allowed more people to have more success than was ever before possible because we post storage auctions not found anywhere else online exclusively for our subscribers.

Many of the people we speak with every day have remarkable stories of triumph at storage auctions.

Ms. Regitt, a subscriber in Arkansas, says she used the list to find an auction in her home town; bought a unit for $ 325; turned around and sold it to another bidder for $ 1000, all before even leaving the storage facility.

Mr. LePage, a New England subscriber, attends auctions for his company and says that one of the first auctions he ever attended yielded a unit with several hundred dollars cash stashed inside. Every day regular auction goers find profitable, if not radical, treasures inside abandoned storage units.

Alfredo Lopez, a recent Oklahoma subscriber and storage auction enthusiast, reported winning, a couple TVs along with a rare vintage bike for only $ 20 at his first auction. Mr. Lopez is like thousands of people that visit storage auctions and use Craigslist.com to resell their finds locally for additional part-time income. We tried to find auctions on our own, but we found that they are not highly publicized, said Mr. Lopez, so he found us online, subscribed and reports the service to be very informational and helpful; updated regularly and reliably.

StorageUnitAuctionList.com is a national network of storage owners and auctioneers that post storage auction listings online for subscribers. Since January of 2011, the directory has developed into USAs largest online storage auction database and has gone through several major transitions in order to ensure that our subscribers receive the best, most accurate storage auctions listings available anywhere. This month, StorageUnitAuctionList.com had a complete staff overhaul to ensure we provide the best customer service and facility relations possible. The company now double verifies every auctions to ensure accuracy; highlights all caravan-style auctions to limit confusion and our new and improved account area is more user-friendly than ever before.

Government Conspiracy to Remove Potential Social Security Recipients From Baby Boomer Generation

(PRWEB) April 17, 2004

LOW END presents a creative, if fictional business solution to this dilemma. The action centers around Gary Morrissey, a Baby Boomer and musician with a history of substance abuse who learns that a fellow musician, Devon Jones, has been murdered. Life in the Big City is often violent, but Devon apparently had evidence tying a large-scale drug empire to the Federal Government.

Are Devon’s suspicions firmly grounded on fact or are they merely a byproduct of his drug use? One way or the other, Devon is dead. Gary realizes that while the proposed motive may be off-base, something had to have cost Devon his life.

LOW END is written in the style of the great 1930’s and 1940’s Mystery Noire authors. Think Raymond Chandler dealing with drugs and Rock n’ Roll. Author Harry G. Pellegrin brings his experience as a New Yorker and musician to his novel.

LOW END includes a foreword by Donal Gallagher, the brother of the late legendary blues guitarist Rory Gallagher

What the Critics have said:

“LOW END works as a rough-edged sort of cozy, with a reluctant amateur sleuth trapped in dangerous circumstances. The story winds its way through a darkly beautiful urban setting, informed by the tastes and smells of New York.

Morrissey is a complex, compelling protagonist. He's been beaten numb by his life, and when he wakes up, he doesn't like what he finds. The reader becomes aware of Morrissey's dark side as the character reaches a similar epiphany, a neat trick accomplished in a single scene involving an observed incident of domestic violence. The scene is galvanizing, a fine piece of thematic writing.

I enjoyed this novel. The author's behind-the-scenes look at the music world is authentic, and appropriately low-rent. The conclusion is bittersweet and ambivalent. Like the very best genre fiction, LOW END takes the reader to a world they seldom see, riding the tight strings of a good story.”

-- Brian Kaufman, Author of The Breach

“Mr. Pellegrin does a great job of giving the readers several different possible plots and suspects, without giving away the ending ahead of time. This is something that is rare today.”

--Jen Oliver, MyShelf.com Reviews

About the Author:

Harry was born in the Bronx in 1957. As a very young child, he was anxious to start school, and had learned to read at a very early age. Formal education began in 1962 at PS 87 on Bussing Avenue in the Bronx. He attended Mount St. Michael Academy in the Bronx. After graduating high school in 1974, he began studying music at the college level when he enrolled at Bronx Community College. Two years later he transferred to the prestigious Mannes College of Music in Manhattan, earning a BA in what he often calls museum music.

Music and literature occupied his mind from the earliest cognizant thought. He began piano lessons at the age of five but had switched to bass at thirteen and guitar soon after. During his time at Mount St. Michael Academy, Harry decided to study music seriously--make it his life's vocation. First studies were undertaken with well-known bass player Larry Silvestro.

After college, Harry plunged back into his first love--rock n' roll--and joined a bar band that eventually became a local phenomenon--if not a huge financial success. After the end of his first marriage, he became more involved in studio work until a near-fatal car accident left him unable to play guitar. With one form of creative expression momentarily removed from his life, he began writing in earnest.

He has written for periodicals ranging from Soundboard: The Journal of the Guitar Foundation of America and The Horse: Backstreet Choppers. Never one to categorize or pigeonhole creativity, he speaks the names of his personal heroes and the masters—Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy and Rory Gallagher—in the same breath. To him, all forms of artistic expression stem from the same need to express a thought or emotion.

LOW END, his second novel—though first published—is based, in part, on actual events.

Many of the author’s friends and acquaintances fill the pages with genuine personality and dialogue. Of course, the main plot is fictional, but Harry felt that by using real places, events and personalities, the story would seem more like historical narrative than a tall tale. The sequel to Low End is currently in progress.

With his marriage in 1993, Harry left the city of his youth. Harry, his wife Elaine, and their two daughters, Veronica and Amanda, now live in rural upstate New York and when not riding his motorcycle, he occupies himself performing with a band and writing.

Dennis Young and Andrew Riss Bring Art From the Edge to BLAST

Teaneck, NJ (PRWEB) August 22, 2011

BLAST is thrilled to announce this show of bold paintings by two New Jersey artists.

Dennis Young is best known professionally as the marimba/percussionist for the legendary early 80s NYC band Liquid Liquid. This band had a major impact on hip-hop and dance music. Best known for their song Cavern which was sampled for the Grandmaster Flash mega-hit White Lines."

Dennis is a self-taught musician who started playing drums at an early age. His passion for music led to an exploration of other instruments that include marimba, percussion, keyboards, guitar, and vocals. He composes his own music that combines influences from rock, jazz, dance, folk, and world music. Since his days with Liquid Liquid, Dennis has released a number of solo releases, and has added his signature percussion to a number of recordings.

Over the past several years, Dennis has been moved to paint. There is a strong relationship between the music and the art that Dennis creates. Both rely heavily on spontaneity, rhythm, and texture. His work draws inspiration from a wide range of painters from Picasso and Van Gogh to Jackson Pollack and Jasper Johns. The paintings in this show also reflect an affinity for folk art. Images of tribal masks and abstract patterns collide in this body of work. These paintings seem to be connected to an ancient past of native tribes and cultures that exist in Denniss imagination.

Andrew Riss grew up in a suburban town in Long Island, NY. Andrews first contact with art, as something that living people made, was on a trip to the Art Students League in New York City, where he began taking figure drawing classes. Immediately the teacher told Andrew he didn't know what he was doing, which luckily, Andrew took as a compliment.

Andrew went on to study painting at the Hartford Art School, where he became enamored by expressionist painters like Francesco Clemente, Phillip Guston, and Anselm Kiefer. Since graduationg in 1991, Riss has worked as an artist, running his own on-air graphics company, while maintaining his interest in exploring painting. For Andrew, making art is about un-learning many of the things we believe we know as adults.

Riss describes what hes exploring in his current body of work, I have always been both interested and confused by the concept of the body as a vessel. Thats why I like to play with the idea of head as funnel or loud speaker. These paintings of heads, headphones, horns and speakers are figurative, while retaining a quasi-primitive/comic appearance. Theres an emotional rawness to these mysterious captivating paintings.

Art From the Edge will be showing at BLAST September 1026, 2011.

There will be an opening reception September 10. 69 pm.

Ascent Scientific Licenses Novel Dynamin Toolkits from Childrens Medical Research Institute and University of Newcastle

Bristol, UK, Sydney and Newcastle, Australia (PRWEB) March 16, 2011

Ascent Scientific together with Childrens Medical Research Institute and The University of Newcastle today announced that they have entered into a license, supply and distribution agreement for a range of small molecule dynamin inhibitors for research these are novel tools for investigating cellular processes. The agreement was facilitated by Bio-Link Australia, a life sciences commercialisation company.

Dynamin is a key protein involved in the cellular process of endocytosis, a process that involves the uptake and recycling of extracellular material by mammalian cells. Endocytic pathways are also utilised by viruses and toxins to gain entry into cells. Dynamin also participates in cell cycle progression and has shown to have critical roles in centrosome cohesion and cytokinesis.

Dynamin inhibitors have applications for researchers investigating cell signalling pathways, the cell cycle and cellular division and a range of medical conditions including cancer, infectious diseases including HIV and botulism and neurological conditions such as epilepsy.

The laboratories of Professor Adam McCluskey (University of Newcastle) and Professor Phillip Robinson (Childrens Medical Research Institute) have developed the first set of rationally designed mechanism-based pharmacological inhibitors of dynamin. These inhibitors are a range of small molecule chemicals that stop endocytosis through inhibition of the GTPase dynamin, a key protein involved in the initiation and completion of endocytosis.

McCluskey and Robinson have developed a unique portfolio of multiple classes of these small molecule dynamin inhibitors. These molecular classes selectively target different domains of dynamin providing novel research tools for understanding endocytosis biology and its role in intracellular processes and disease.

Professor McCluskey said We are very pleased that these dynamin inhibitors, which we designed and developed with the intent that they be utilized to further explore the chemical biology of dynamin and endocytosis biology, will now be available to researchers worldwide through Ascent Scientific.

Professor Robinson remarked, This palette of inhibitors provides a new means to regulate dynamins activity by independent molecules and with more than one mechanism of action, allowing scientists to more definitively assign a particular biological function to dynamin. This strategy is more powerful than relying on the use of a sole inhibitor.

Steve Roome PhD, Commercial Director for Ascent Scientific, comments "These groundbreaking tools provide a means for scientists to inhibit dynamin activity, and modulate endocytosis. Potent cell-permeable in vitro and in cell based inhibitors, together with control molecules are available individually, and in kit form providing researchers with a variety of novel ways to explore dynamin-mediated cellular processes".

The dynamin inhibitors (and their respective inactive control compounds) available from Ascent Scientific include:

Iminodyn-22

Potent, broad spectrum dynamin inhibitor. IC50 values are 450 nM and 390 nM for inhibition of dynamin I and II GTPase respectively). Binds to the GTPase domain at an allosteric site and displays uncompetitive antagonism with respect to GTP. Inhibits receptor mediated endocytosis (RME) and synaptic vesicle endocytosis (SVE) ( IC50 values are 10.7 and 108
