For treating such disorders, Fasudil Hydrochloride (INN) has proofed to be a potent Rho-kinase inhibitor and vasodilator treatment able to lower pulmonary artery systolic pressure, suppressing pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells proliferation, attenuating pulmonary artery medial wall thickening and inhibiting right ventricular hypertrophy together with significant suppression of Rho kinase activity. Another drug, Atorvastatin, inhibits Rho signaling and is usually used for lowering blood cholesterol. Research, however, indicates that anti-RhoA small interfering RNA inhibits aggressive breast cancer more effectively than conventional blockers of Rho-mediated signaling pathways. This therapy was found to also be devoid of toxic effects.
