The Flag Company, Inc. announces the donation of a flag, flagpole and Flagpole Beacon to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition at its build in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It is such an honor to be involved with this particular segment and provide something for the family, said Mike Lawrence, Vice President, who was stationed at nearby Ft. Bragg during his time in the U.S. Army. The segment features a military family.

Everything happened quickly A phone call one afternoon and flag, flagpole and Flagpole Beacon shipping out the next afternoon. Lawrence mentioned Weve done things for several movies in the past, and turnaround timeframes are always tight, which is part of the excitement of doing these projects. As the largest distributor of flags and flagpoles in the Southeast, it obviously helps that flagpoles of all heights are in stock and ready to ship at a moments notice, as in this case.

Donating the Flagpole Beacon seemed especially appropriate because it properly lights the flag at night, following flag regulations. Also, because the light is below the horizontal plane and uses LED bulbs, it is a green product that saves energy and prevents light pollution and light trespass.
